  It's harvest season in southeastern New England's vineyards -- one of the most beautiful times of the year for tours and wine tastings at local wineries.

You're invited to join Boston Uncorked for our 3rd annual vineyard and winery excursion.  Leave the driving to someone else and indulge your senses!

We're adding some new and fun elements to this popular occasion:

First - we'll enjoy donut holes and mimosas (sparkling wine and OJ) during the morning coach ride as a prelude to this fun day.
Second - we'll be visiting two neighboring vineyards in two states; Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Sakonnet Vineyards  in Little Compton, RI will be our first stop, where we'll learn some history of winemaking in New England, tour the winery where they  make the wine, and adjourn to the tasting room where our palates will be guided through a variety of estate whites and reds.   

After this first tasting we'll enjoy a scrumptious and fulfilling catered picnic lunch on Sakonnet's covered deck.  Here you can purchase some wine to enjoy with your lunch or to bring home, browse the wine store for wine accessories and other items, or simply lounge and take in the sites.  

We will then journey on to nearby Westport Rivers Vineyard and Winery in Westport, MA.  Here we'll experience a private tasting of a selection of Westport Rivers' table wines and world class sparkling wines.  Take in the Farmhouse and beautiful, scenic grounds.  This is a quintessential New England farm. 

This vineyard excursion is a day of new experiences, new tastes, new sites, and new friends.

 The day's itinerary will be:

       9:15am -- bus departs Boston (Charles St., Boston Common)
                       mimosas and donut holes during the trip
     10:45am -- arrive Sakonnet Vineyards.  stretch/ restroom break
     11:00am -- begin winery tour, followed by wine tasting
     12:00noon -- lunch. relax, shop, enjoy grounds
       2:00pm -- depart for Westport Rivers
       2:45pm -- arrive Westport Rivers.  stretch/ restrooms
       3:00pm -- wine tasting, enjoy Farmhouse and scenic grounds
       4:30pm -- depart Westport Rivers for Boston
       5:30pm -- arrive Boston

***Ticket price includes all of the following: roundtrip chartered coach transportation from Boston to both vineyards and back, mimosas and donut holes during the morning ride, bottled water, all vineyard tasting fees and taxes, complimentary vineyard wine glasses, a full catered lunch buffet (build-your-own deli sandwich with asssorted breads, lettuce/ tomato/ condiments, pasta salad, assorted chips, assorted cookies, bottled water). 

DIRECTIONS:
See the Red Arrow on this MAP for the bus embarkation location.  Bus will depart from and return to Zero (0) Charles St. on the sidewalk curb at the the vehicle entrance to Boston Common Garage (Public Parking).  This is on the Boston Common side of Charles St. across from the Public Garden (note: this is the block of Charles St. between Boylston St. and Beacon St.).
