- Course 1 -
Seared scallops with local corn puree, truffled parsnip chips and marjoram
wine: Casa de Santar Branco (Encruzado) 

- Course 2 -
Heirloom tomatoes with basil puree, spiced yogurt dressing and crispy speck
wine: Benziger Sonoma County Reserve 2005; 55% Cabernet Sauvignon/45% Merlot

- Main course -
Brined Berkshire pork chop with pork cheek rillette, fingerling potato hash, peaches and thyme
wine: Benziger Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2006

- Cheese course -
Manchego with pinenut butter and golden raisin mostardo
wine: Ysios Rioja Reserva 

- Dessert -
Sticky-toffee pudding with pear and goat’s milk gelato
wine: Quinta de Ventozelo 20 Year Tawny Porto 

Join Boston Uncorked for a very special food and wine dining excursion to The Herb Lyceum in Groton, MA.

Leave your worries and driving responsibilities behind, and bring nothing but your anticipation for a fun and very enlightening wine & food-filled evening as we travel via chartered coach to the much written and talked about Herb Lyceum (read some of what writers and consumers are raving about Here and Here).

We are very excited that we'll have the heralded Chef Will Gilson in the kitchen for this exclusive Boston Uncorked dinner experience (click his name to read a recent article about him).

Here's a rundown of all that's included in this excursion package:

1. Roundtrip Coach transportation from downtown Boston to the Herb Lyceum (Groton, MA) and back to Boston.
2. Special guided look and overview of the Herb Lyceum grounds before dinner.
3. 6 Premium Wines^^.
4. Full service, Six Course seated and guided dining experience with wines paired to each course (Menu coming soon!).
5. All food, taxes, gratuities covered and wines provided.

  The Itinerary is as follows: 

• 2:45PM- Depart Boston
• 3:45PM- Arrive at The Herb Lyceum
• 4:00PM- Guided overview of the grounds
• 5:00PM- Wine Dinner begins
• 7:45PM- Depart The Herb Lyceum
• 8:45PM- Arrive back in Boston

^^Special Note: The Herb Lyceum is a BYOB dinner venue and Boston Uncorked is providing all of the wines for this event. That said if you have some special wine(s) that you would like to bring and enjoy with your dinner, you are by all means welcome to do so. There is no additional corkage fee.

DIRECTIONS:

See the Red Arrow on this MAP for the bus embarkation location. Bus will depart from and return to Zero (0) Charles St. on the sidewalk curb at the vehicle entrance to Boston Common Garage (Public Parking). This is on the Boston Common side of Charles St. across from the Public Garden (note: this is the block of Charles St. between Boylston St. and Beacon St.).
