Happy New Year everybody! Here we are: Boston --it's winter, it's cold (Boston Uncorked is not responsible for the weather actually conforming to this theory), we just took vacation and now we're stuck here for a while, and there's simply nothing we can do about that; or is there??
Yes! We're wine enthusiasts, which means we can let our taste buds travel to any part of the world whenever we want. So we're heading "down" to the southern hemisphere of the world, where it's summer right now, with this month's collection of wines from such "new world" wine-making countries as South Africa, Chile, Australia and New Zealand.
Save yourself the airfare because we'll have some of their tastiest exports right here. 18 different wines in all are slated to be featured and they are listed on The Cork Board.
There's nothing like the comfort of a living room with a fireplace in the winter, so that's exactly where we're gathering for this wine trip -- The Living Room . It's comfy, friendly, and there'll be some really good appetizers for additional pleasures of the palate.
